Liz Cheney on the 'gratitude' Americans have for her torture-supporting father

Virginia Republican Liz Cheney is running for U.S. Senate in Wyoming
I'm not sure why Bush administration Vice President Dick Cheney and his offspring Liz continue to pair up for their Sunday show appearances, unless we're just preparing for the inevitable day when master kicks the bucket and apprentice must advocate for monstrous things all by their lonesome. Doesn't seem like the big guy is in any danger of regaining a soul between now and then, though.
"First of all, it wasn't torture," Dick Cheney said of waterboarding. "It was the most significant source of intelligence for us that we absolutely had to have, and that was on al Qaeda, how big they were, where they were, who their leaders were, what their plans were, and so forth."
Liz Cheney, for her part, was apparently there to lend pa emotional support, in the exceedingly remote event that Dick suddenly developed an emotion.
Liz Cheney remarked that no one had been "more courageous and dedicated and honorable" that her father.

"I know, for all of us who love you, the gratitude as Americans that we feel, is matched only by our love for him," she said turning to her dad.

What a strange, strange family. I don't mean that in a good way. Does anyone ever mean that in a good way?
